Into the Night – Andrey Tarkovsky

The Kunsthaus Graz is launching a series of film marathons called Into the Night. The first marathon features four films by Russian director Andrey Tarkovsky.

The films will be introduced in a conversaton between Andrey A. Tarkovsky, president of the Andrey Tarkovsky International Institute and son of the director, and Adam Budak, curator of the show Tatiana Trouvé.

Tempo di viaggio, a documentary by Andrey Tarkovsky and Tonino Guerra regarding the work on the film Nostalgia (1979, 62 min, Engl. subtitles).

Nostalgia, a deeply moving study of nostalgia for the part of our life which has passed to no purpose (1983, 125 mins, Italian with Engl. subtitles).

Stalker one of the greatest SF films of all times, a surreal and disturbing vision of the future (1979, 163 mins, Russian with German subtitles).

The Mirror, a personal portrait of his childhood, a confession (1974, 108 mins, in Russian with German subtitles).
