“Oh well, it’s a movie where you can come in at any time. And you can walk around and dance and sing,” was Andy Warhol’s comment on his first experimental film in 1963. Time – to be more precise, what the audience does with the time – is a major factor in it. Warhol juggles with the attention and expectations of the audience as they watch bits of bare flesh of a man asleep.
