Programmes for Children and Young People

Who has ever been in a room with slanted walls and round windows? You can climb the walls, ring secretly from the top, look secretely into other people’s coffee cups and also exhibit complete art works which you have created yourself!
Space 03, the Kunsthaus room reserved exclusively for children and young people, is an extremely innovative and experimental level in the Kunsthaus with an unusual space experience. We invite our young visitors to create works which are painted, sketched, or printed, small art works which can be completed here. Our desire is to offer children and young people an intensive, adventurous and above all, knowledgeable time in the Kunsthaus to arouse their sense of creativity and to make them more sensitive in their encounters with art and architecture.

3 to 6 years

Our exhibitions and the Kunsthaus as architecture offer large activity room for experience parcours especially designed for small children. What do you see – what is that? Which material is that and which form and how does one make something like that? What could that be – what do you call that? During a small snack break, the many and varied impressions can be worked up. Afterwards, the possibility is offered to the children who are full of energy, to be creative themselves. Our aim is to give the children an impression of experimental building and artistic creation in the present in order to stimulate them into creative activity.
Duration: 2 hours

6 to 10 years

Playful and exciting adventure parcours through the exhibitions and in the free time between the exhibitions, through the 'Friendly Alien' which offer the children exploration and reflection. In the workshop the themes experienced in the exhibition tour will be creatively worked up and artistic techniques themselves will be tried out. To be booked in modules.
Duration: approx. 2 hours (1 hour tour and 1 hour workshop)
