A Letter from Friedrich MOHS to Abraham WERNER to his "Nomination" to Graz

Abstract: F. MOHS wrote 1811 an unknown letter to A. WERNER. The letter is of psychological interest. The make-believe reason of the letter was the request, to support a geognostical investigation of Styria by answering mineralogical questions. Probably behind the request hides another reason. At this time MOHS wrote a book concerning the methods of the determination of minerals. Concerning this question differences existed to the method of WERNER. The knowledge of the opinion of WERNER to certain questions would have been surely favourable for MOHS.
