  • 10.09.2009, 07:00 PM

The archaeological collection at the Universalmuseum Joanneum not only has the largest and most important collection of Roman inscriptions and other carved stone fragments in Austria but also an extensive and valuable collection of Near Eastern and Mediterranean finds. Exhibits of inestimable value such as for example the world-famous Strettweg Chariot will be accessible to public view again from autumn 2009, when the new Archaeology Museum will be opening in the park of Schloss Eggenberg.
