The sumptuous collection spans the period from the Middle Ages to the late 18th century, with works ranging from the “Admont Virgin” via major works by leading European masters from diverse schools as Lucas Cranach the Elder, Frans Floris, Bartholomäus Spranger, Pieter Breughel the Younger, David Teniers the Younger, Johann Michael Rottmayr and Johann Georg Platzer to the last peak of late Baroque splendour: Martin Johann Schmidt, named “Kremser Schmidt".
