Nigritella minor spec. nova (Orchidaceae), ein neues Kohlröschen aus der Steiermark

Zusammenfassung: Nigritella minor W. Foelsche & Zernig wird als neue Art beschrieben, die durch die kleinsten Individuen in der Gattung gekennzeichnet ist. Die rosaroten Blüten, die auf den ersten Blick an Nigritella rubra subsp. rubra erinnern, sind sehr klein, die speziell geformte Lippe ist maximal 5,4 mm lang. Weitere Charakteristika sind der schmale, sich auch in der Fruchtzeit nicht verlängernde Blütenstand sowie die blassgrünen, oft rosa überlaufenen, nicht dunkelrot berandeten Deckblätter. Die Chromosomenzahl beträgt 2n = 4x = 80, die Fortpflanzung erfolgt apomiktisch über Nuzellarembryonen.

Nigritella minor W. Foelsche & Zernig is described as a new species. This species is characterized by the smallest individuals within the genus and by small pink coloured flowers, which at first glance resemble Nigritella rubra subsp. rubra. The lip reaches just 5,4 mm in length. The narrow inflorescence does not enlarge during fructification, the bracts of pale greenish to redish colour are lacking the common dark coloured border. The chromosome number is 2n = 4x = 80, the reproduction happens apomicticly by nucellar embryos.
